Terms of service
Effective October 23, 2026
The short version. Genius Arcade is a set of learning games for kids aged 9 to 15, run by Alan Seideman. Play fair, let a parent handle the account, and tell us if something is wrong.
- Anyone can play the free games, including teachers in class.
- Only adults can make an account. Kids play on nickname profiles their parent sets up.
- No ads, nothing to buy inside a game, and paid plans are handled only in the parent area.
- You can cancel a paid plan or delete your account at any time.
1. Who we are
Genius Arcade (“we”, “us”) is the website geniusarcade.com and the games on it. It is run by Alan Seideman. You can reach us at hello@geniusarcade.com. By using Genius Arcade you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy, which explains what we collect and why.
2. Who can use Genius Arcade
- Anyone can play the games without an account.
- Accounts are for adults only: parents and guardians (and, later, teachers). You must be at least 18 to create one, and you are responsible for what happens on it.
- Kids don't get accounts. A parent can create up to four kid profiles, each with a nickname and a cartoon avatar, after giving consent as described in the privacy policy. Parents are responsible for how their kids use their profiles.
- Teachers may play every game with their class, for example on a classroom projector, without accounts for students.
3. Your account
- We sign you in with a one-time email link (or Google, if you choose). Keep your email account secure.
- Give us a real email address that you control. One account per family is plenty.
- You can delete your account at any time in the parent area. That deletes your kids' profiles and progress too.
4. Playing fair
When you use Genius Arcade, please don't:
- try to break, overload or get around the security of the site or the games;
- use bots or scripts to play, sign up or send requests;
- copy, resell or republish our games, art or questions as your own;
- use a kid profile nickname that is someone's full real name, or anything rude or hurtful;
- break the law, or help anyone else do these things.
If someone does, we may suspend or close the account involved.
5. Our games and content
The games, characters, art, music, questions and text on Genius Arcade belong to us. You may play them and use them in class, at home or in a homeschool. Our facts are checked against cited sources before a game goes live, but mistakes can slip through. If you spot one, tell us at hello@geniusarcade.com and we'll fix it.
6. Ideas and feedback
Many of our games are designed with real students. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve Genius Arcade without owing you anything for them. We will never publish a kid's name or anything that identifies them.
7. Free play and paid plans
- Playing without an account is free.
- Paid family plans aren't open yet. When they open, the price, what's included and how renewal works will be shown in the parent area before you pay, and those details become part of these terms.
- Payments will be handled by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers.
- You will be able to cancel at any time from the parent area, in two clicks. Cancelling stops the next renewal.
- Nothing can ever be bought inside a game, and the games never ask kids to ask a parent for money.
8. Changes and availability
We are a small team and Genius Arcade is still growing. We may add, change or retire games and features, and the site may sometimes be down for maintenance. We'll try to give notice of big changes. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and, if you have an account, email you before the change applies.
9. No warranties
We work hard to make Genius Arcade accurate, safe and fun, but we provide it “as is”, without promises that it will always be available, error-free or right for every child. It supports learning; it isn't a replacement for school or a teacher.
10. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or unexpected losses from using Genius Arcade, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or $50 if you haven't paid anything). Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
11. Ending things
You can stop using Genius Arcade and delete your account at any time. We may close an account that breaks these terms; if it was a paid account and the break wasn't serious, we'll refund the unused part of the plan.
12. Contact
